Introducing:  Dr. Margaret Jackson is a native of Portland, Maine. She left the state for undergraduate training in Biochemistry and English at University of Dallas in Texas where she discovered a love of wildflowers and road trips. She returned to New England for medical school at Tufts University in Boston. During medical school, she spent a clinical year working in Skowhegan and developed a deep appreciation for central Maine, where she picked up cross country skiing and connected with her family's roots in Madison and Anson. During residency in Family Medicine at Maine Medical Center, she kept her love of rural Maine, small town medicine and full-spectrum practice including obstetrics. Other interests include alternative medicine, reducing infant mortality in the state and substance abuse treatment. Outside of medicine, she enjoys hobbies such as hiking, gardening, knitting and spending time with her husband and their daughter. She is thrilled to be joining Waterville Family Practice! 
She will begin seeing patients in November of this year and will be taking new patients!   Please call for details (207-873-1181) if you are interested in becoming a new patient.   We will be processing patients for Dr Jackson as early as September.  

Lisa Hickey, LCSW is with us on Tuesdays providing  counseling services to our patients who are referred by their PCP for services.  She has been a wonderful addition to our team here at Waterville Family Practice.

Michelle Dawiczyk, PA-C is a native of Bristol, CT and has transitioned to central Maine after practicing family medicine in CT.  She joined Waterville Family Practice in 2014.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology and Neurobiology & Physiology from the University of Connecticut in 2008 and is a graduate of Stony Book University’s Physician’s Assistant Program in 2012 receiving and Masters in Science.  

Dr. Nora Glasspool is a Board Certified Family Physician who enjoys the full age spectrum of family medicine, including pediatrics, women's health, geriatrics and office procedures. She grew up in the “Bull City” (Durham, NC) and studied classical languages at Georgetown University. Before attending medical school at Rush University in Chicago, she had a 5-year career in Human Resources at The Field Museum of Natural History. She completed her residency in Family Practice at Advocate Christ Medical Center, a tertiary care hospital and Level I trauma center in Oak Lawn, IL.  She recently moved to Maine to reconnect with her East Coast roots, practice in a more rural environment, and give her 2 young children a bigger backyard.

Danielle Doyon , PA-C, is a native of Augusta, Maine and started practicing in July 2010. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Biology from the University of New England and is a graduate of Chatham University’s Physician Assistant Studies Program in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Additionally, Danielle has received her Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physicians Assistants and looks forward to serving all members of your family.

Dr. Julie Phelps is a native of Maine.  She received her bachelor of Science from Haverford College in Pennsylvania and her medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School.  She completed her family practice residency in Lawrence,  Massachusetts and a fellowship in rural medicine in Tacoma, Washington.  She returned to Maine and began working at Waterville Family Practice in 2001.  She is board certified by the American Board of Family Practice and provides full spectrum family care to all ages.  She spent several summers while in school working at Pine Tree Camp for Disabled Children and Adults in Rome, Maine and has volunteered as the camp doctor since returning to Maine.  Her special clinical interests lie in caring for the disabled and in palliative care.  She lives on a grain farm with her husband and two small children and in her spare time enjoys being with her family, singing, and knitting.  She is a devoted Mainer and is committed to providing continued care to the people of the greater Waterville area.
